I met Lesley while we were both in college, as she went to Stockton College of NJ with one of my close friends, which is where she also met Chris. Years later I saw her at that friend’s wedding and I got to meet Chris for the first time. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to know Chris well, as the wedding was rocking and everyone danced and partied the entire night. Social media allowed Lesley and I to stay in touch and I got to know her a little bit more. She and Chris continued on strong, got engaged and decided to finally make it legal. When Lesley told me their plans of, basically eloping (parents didn’t know, no guest list), heading into the city for some photos prior the ceremony, then to Philadelphia City Hall for the ceremony and back out for some more images…I was totally down. Fortunate to score such a cool day! We met on gorgeous May afternoon and started at the Philadelphia Art Museum, went to City Hall for a 5 minute ceremony (which was way cooler than I expected) and then hit the area surrounding City Hall, so that they could check-in to their hotel and make their dinner reservation (R2L). We stopped at El Vez for a celebratory drink and a little break. It was cute seeing them so in love and in the moment, along with Lesley trying Chris’ cocktail (she didn’t like it). 🙂 The skinny of it- they were awesome! They are in love, cultured, easy to photograph, easier to communicate with and just fun to be around. I was so honored to be asked to document their day and really lucky that I got to know them better. I knew Lesley was cool, but Chris and I could barely keep our traps closed long enough to take photos. It’s been fun creating a gorgeous wedding album for them and I’m really happy they decided to print their proofs, as they’ll have them forever.
