Tarpon Springs

During my stay in Tampa, we took a Sunday and spent it in Tarpon Springs. I’ve been wanting to visit Tarpon Springs for about 10 years, after learning about it’s large population of Greeks and sponge harvesting industry.  It’s a very cute town with friendly people, but we were really fortunate to catch it on the Sunday they celebrate Greek independence {unknowingly}. After we parked on the outskirts of the downtown, assuming it was the best spot we would get, we walked a few blocks right in to the heart of the parade. The energy was real high from all of the people in town and we were really pleased with our dumb luck. These are the images I captured as we walked the streets:
