Josh contacted me about his idea at a winery and he worked hard to ensure the best venue with the most personalization was chosen. He nailed it with the Crossing Vineyards and Winery (Newtown, PA). Not only was their staff beyond helpful, but they also did a great job of keeping it a secret from the unexpected fiance-to-be, while adding a bunch of personal, little touches. It really couldn’t have gone any better. They went under the guise that it was a birthday adventure for Kelsey (birthday the following week) and started with a wine tasting. I meandered around, trying not to look obvious when they came out and once Josh and I caught eyes- it was go time. Josh strolled her down a aisle in the vineyards and as she inspected the grapes, he reached for the ring, took the knee and waited…and waited…and waited…. Apparently she was asking him questions and he was non-responsive or short. Then she finally turned…. You can see that this was a TOTAL surprise. Her reaction is priceless and my words won’t do it justice. I documented the moments that ensued and then we took a few images around the vineyard.
