Tommy & Molly

So, it’s that time of year, again. A time where I get to catch up a bit, realize how long it’s been since I last posted, and get annoyed at myself for not doing it more often. Well, this year, I’m taking the approach of: better late than never. I was recently designing my cousin’s wedding album, and it made me want to share a few that I was enjoying. Here goes something.
When my cousin, Tommy, asked me in the middle of 2013 what I was doing on July 5, 2014- I figured there was more to it than just a random hang. He worded it in his clever delivery, we laughed and then I said “I’d be honored to document your day”. Fast forward through the year of planning, an engagement session, a soon-to-be move to Chicago… and we get to their beautiful wedding at the Phoenixville Foundry. As many know, family and friends can sometimes be harder to work with. Not Tommy and Molly. We arrived at the venue and Tommy has his favorite Scotch in hand, relaxing. Perfect setting to get the “real” Tommy. Molly was so calm, it was as if the day was just the rehearsal. Their calmness made it easy for us to document the day. They mixed in some beautiful traditions and had many personal touches in their details. Then, when the reception hit, I realized that they were just saving their energy for the dance floor. Tommy was a madman! But, it was great to see two people be so gentle together, throughout the entire day. It was even more touching to know that my cousin was madly in love, and not afraid to show or share it.
Here are some of my favorites through the course of the day. Some images by the talented, Christopher Rocco.
