Kelley and Shawn are former wedding clients that have become friends. They invited me to their home to photograph their first born- Penelope. 11 days old, just over 6lbs and adorable as can be- she made a great subject! I didn’t want these images to be the “cheese, everyone look at the camera” style. I wanted them mostly to be a documentation of a friend being invited into a family’s home- to capture the glow of being parents for the first time. Images that will remind the family of those feelings years from now. I knew Shawn & Kelley trusted me to capture “them” and that makes it so much more personal and true.
